4.Congenital Wryneck

The 6-month-old male presented with a history of rightward neck of 6 months. Several days after his birth he was found neck rightward and at 4 months of age he was diagnosed as congenital wryneck at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chinese Medical University. The doctors suggested his parents to take massage treatment. We noticed the infant slobber a lot and the slobber was clear, his face darkish and yellow and his urine clear.These are indications of the deficiency and cold of the spleen-stomatch.In TCM,the spleen-stomach is the basis of acquired constitution and nourishs muscles while wryneck is just caused by the abnormity of a certain muscle. So we selected points to adjust the spleen and stomach:Kneading Xiaotianxin, Kneading Yiwofeng, Pushing-reinforcing Spleen Earth, Pushing-reinforcing Shangsanguan, Parting-pushing yang, Pushing-reinforcing Kidney Water, Kneading Xiaohengwen, Pushing-clearing Banmen, Reverse-arc-pushing Neibagua, Pushing Sihengwen Kneading Errenshangma, Push-clearing Tianheshui,etc. After 28 days of Tuina massage he resumed.
